Retail Therapy is about five
very different ladies with one thing in common... We're insanely addicted to
shopping! Sometimes we splurge on frivolous items and/or of necessity, great
quality, and comfort. We spend to our boundaries and apparently
those boundaries are pretty high! When there's extra money to burn, there's
things to splurge on! Our style site isn't just all about our latest
purchases or a place to brag either. We strive to supply you with
information and reviews on the hottest items in season or straight classic.
You'll find our top fashion faves to sexy outfits pulled together to even
our fave places to shop! Not only do we love to shop but we talk about
shopping, think about shopping, and dream about shopping. But of course
every shopaholic could relate to our madness.

Heather's Latest Purchases
Lola Belle Matchstick Sateen 301 Pants in Merlot from Lola Belle NYC. $SALE. Retro back to 20-30 years ago with high-waisted tapered matchstick pants. With skinny jeans and pants flooding the fashion scene, I definitely recommend these as part of my top 3. Has zips on the bottom, back zip pockets, and barely visible seams on the thighs and knees. Marsha was really sweet in answering all my questions. Very high quality unlike most other fresh independent designers.
Dolce & Gabbana Coffee Knit Sweater from Fashion 4 Action Sample Sale. $STEAL. The knitting is different on the sleeves and back as opposed to the front. The way it hangs is very flattering to my unbelievably straight figure. Cuffs are cute too. This was indeed one of my top fave sample sales. Not only do you get great prices on vintage to present clothing at less than wholesale, you're shopping for a cause. Housing Works hosts this annually and people/designers contribute pieces for charities for support services for homeless men and women/children with AIDS.
Vintage Gianni Versace Oversized Black/Sage V-Neck Sweater from Fashion 4 Action Sample Sale. $STEAL. I practically sink in this since it's a size I but who can't love that so-MKA-look? The different textured knitting caught my attention once again. It's so comfy, I could sleep in this. LOL!
Christian Louboutin Decollete 868 Black Leather 110mm from Christian Louboutin, Paris. $SALE@RETAIL. I cannot express how much I love these pumps. They're literally sex on heels and feel so downright risque. Comfortable to walk in for hours, even at 4.5". Definitely the most understated pumps amongst CL next to the famous Pigalle and Clichy, yet the most complimented when worn. Not to mention I saved almost $100 ordering from Paris! Christian Louboutin Decollete as seen on: Teri Hatcher (Vanity Fair Cover), Jessica Simpson, Ashlee Simpson, and Britney Murphy.
40 Wooden Hangers & J.W. Etc. Water Base Polyurethane Varnish Gloss from eBay/WiseAcres Art. $SALE. I'm going to kick this seller's ass. This is the 4th set of hangers from her and they didn't come with a thick glossy varnish finish like usual. Instead, barely polished so I was forced to purchase varnish gloss and make it another DIY project... well... when I have time.
Diane Von Furstenberg Petite Toile Pocket Bag & Rene Furterer Fioravanti Anti-Frizz Silkening Shampoo from Sephora. $RETAIL. As if the Sephora code couldn't be abused too much (this + presents + assisted buys), I'm glad I got these (and only these!) for myself. My St. Tropez make up bag couldn't hold up the daily use and it's really falling apart. I like this new one better b/c of the vintaged design (it's material from DVF's own dresses). This shampoo does wonders for my long hair and creates a healthy "Vidal Sassoon" look without relaxing or masking it.
Vintage Gucci Link Tie from Fashion 4 Action Sample Sale. $STEAL. Sony PSP Socom Game from eBay. $SALE. For TJ! I can't find the box for Socom but at least you could see what a UMD looks like. -=) As for the tie, I'm so infatuated with it's small details. The inner lining has scripted letters and crests (not used today), once tiny link has their vintage logo, and the end of the tie has a rectangular sign.
Orchid Flower Arrangement from 1800FLOWERS. $GIFT. TJ got this for me as a good luck thing for my 3rd exam. He knows I love orchids, exotic, and wild flowers (and not so much roses). They were perfect!
100 Customized Extralaces Vinyl Bumper Stickers from eBay/Specialty Stamp. $SALE. Yes bumper stickers. Thanks to Craig @ Tangerine, I finally knew the secret to those super nice, heavy, thick, glossy, HQ stickers that we so commonly see whenever we receive packages.

Christmas Pre-Lit Douglas Fir Tree, Deluxe Gold Wired Fabric Ribbon, 48 Frosted Gold Glass Ornaments, 10 Red Berry/Pinecones, Gold Star, and Red/Gold Velvet Tree Skirt from Walmart. $RETAIL. I spaced out everything perfectly so it's not too much and not too little. Then I matched the deep red tree skirt with the red berries to create an accent. The pine cones add that life like look.
Gingerbread Family from Walmart. $RETAIL. Look! It's Daddy, Mommy, and Gemma. Hehehe! They smell like gingerbread too. This is decor on top of our Madison Buffet.
Poinsettia Velveteen/Gold Trim Door Bell from Walmart. $RETAIL. I went away from the usual bows and into something more unique. Sad part is, I tried taping it outside and it kept falling down. So I tied it onto the chain. LOL!
Happy Holidays to everyone! Christmas is fastly approaching and we're almost done with the presents. I forgot to take pics of most of them before I wrapped them too. New layout coming soon for the New Year.
Drie's Latest Purchases
Sorry for not blogging in a looong time. We just get so caught up in day to day routines, we forget the simple pleasure of showing off.... LOL These purchases are all from since I posted last so prepare for a long one.
A new bed!!!! When we moved, I gave my queen monster of a bed to my aunt and had to sleep on the floor for a couple months. It felt damn good to finally buy this futon. $Sale from Walmart.
Black lace tee and "I'm Broke" graphic tee, $SALE from Ross. I'm wearing the broke shirt on Christmas. Let's face it, I love the color black, I love graphic tees, you're gonna see many more in the future! lol
Pink "Torrid" tee, $SUPERSALE from Torrid. I love the fabric of this tee, it's a very soft cotton blend. It also fits very well for plus size women, a big reason why I love love love Torrid. I'M BIG, BLACK AND PROUD! Okay, so I'm pinay... but ya get it.
This was a luxurious find!!! I first saw this tee in an Alloy catalog and it went straight to my wishlist! While waiting for my cousin to get off work at the mall, I found it in the corner of the junior's section in Sears. $SUPERSALE too, WAHOO!
Holiday "Joy" sweater, $SALE from Sears. I was planning to wear this for Christmas but I found something better. lol
Holiday socks, $RETAIL from Walmart. I always buy a new pair to wear every year!
Covington Renew shoes, $SUPERSALE from Sears. My Black Friday conquest. Very comfortable. This pair is my new dressy slack shoes when I don't wanna wear heels shoes. lol
Teen Titans duffle bag, $SALE from Ross. I needed a new bag for the rainy season to tote all of mine and Jdn's daily things while I'm Nanny-ing. It's the perfect size and shape I wanted, and Jdn likes the design too. Sweet.
While shopping for the new duffle bag, I found this beautiful Union Bay weekend bag. $SUPERSALE from Ross. I was about to pick this over the Teen Titan bag but Jdn wouldn't let that one go. So I just waited for payday to buy this one, hoping it'll still be there and it was. YAY!
Needed a new wallet. I found this at a store called DD's. $3.99. Not bad at all.
Broke my clamshell, it literally broke in half. This is my temporary replacement, a Nokia 2116i. $RETAIL from MetroPCS.
 DVDs!! Need I say more?
Feeding my crave for gaming, I bought 2 classics and a well needed Logitech PS2 wireless controller. I play DVDs on my PS2 and got tired of having to get up and fiddle with wires and what not.... Yes, I am a very lazy person! lol Games were $SALE and the controller was $RETAIL from GameCrazy.
Another pair of shades to add to my collection! And I can promote my MK business too. $RETAIL from Mary Kay.
Claire's Accessories. 10 items for $5 at most stores. My fave is the charm necklace.
OMG! I'm done, I spent all day from getting everything together, taking pictures and bringing it all to you. Happy shopping!!
