those boundaries are pretty high! When there's extra money to burn, there's
things to splurge on! Our style site isn't just all about our latest
purchases or a place to brag either. We strive to supply you with
information and reviews on the hottest items in season or straight classic.
You'll find our top fashion faves to sexy outfits pulled together to even
our fave places to shop! Not only do we love to shop but we talk about
shopping, think about shopping, and dream about shopping. But of course
every shopaholic could relate to our madness.

Lanvin Satin Ballet Flats in Dark Green Eta 2006 from eBay/celebrityowned. $SUPERSALE. My LONG TIME holy grails are finally in my possession. The previous owner of these shoes is a Hollywood fashion designer and wife of an A+ celebrity. Anyone know of any who's a size 6.5? ;) Apparently the designer purchased these from Harvey Nichols in the London (retail sticker still intact). Once you own/try a pair, you just have to buy more or use these endlessly. Extremely comfortable and come in satin, leather, metallic leather, and patent leather. Unfortunately, Lanvin is not releasing satin for 2007. They are out of their mind. Celebrity Owned (aka Re-Fresh in LA) carries high end designers and a good amount is from Hollywood stars, designers & producers. As seen on: Kate Moss, Nicole Richie, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lindsay Lohan, and more.
Jennifer Ouellette Satin Bow Headband in Dark Green from Karizma. $SUPERSALE. It's real cute in person and Ouellette creates the most intriguing headband designs. Granted it's made with great quality, though it doesn't tend to stay in place as well. The only hard part of the band is in the back, while the rest is silk. Regardless, this goes perfectly with my Lanvin satin flats so I'm satisfied. As seen on: Gwen Stefani and Jessica Simpson. Code TOUTIE for 25% off.
R.E.D. Valentino Flower Cardigan from Coco Pari. $STEAL. Give credit to Valentino for making a simple cropped cardigan look this good. The material is very soft and form fitting. My favorite part is the unique flower pin's mixed materials of silk, satin, and lace. It's one of those cute little cardigans that you can just add to a simple tank and pair of skinny jeans, and then look and feel good at the same time.
Jil Sander Beige Scoop Tee from Holt Renfrew (Vaughan Mills, Ontario). $STEAL. I needed a simple scoop neck tee in beige and when I found this, it was perfect. This soft cotton/modal material blend allows you to dress it up for the holidays or down for class. Only downside is that it's slightly see through.
Bi La Li London Long Knit Gloves in Almond from Le Train Bleu. $SALE. My most favorite gloves ever, very unique and stylish. The long knitted arm warmers are long enough to allow you to wear it perfectly scrunched with your winter coat so it blocks the cold wind from getting into your sleeves. The ivory buttons add that little touch of fashionable detail and the cashmere/wool blend keeps it's warm. I recommend matching them with either a white, cream, or black coat. Now available at $STEAL price with code TOUTIE30 for an additional 30% off till 2/9 or TOUTIE for 20%.
Cheap Monday Tight 32" Jeans in Stonewash from Barney's New York. This is an international phenomenon for fashionistas everywhere. Has anyone ever heard of designer jeans for $65 RETAIL? It's only sold in select boutiques so far (Ron Herman, Barneys, Blue Bee, National Jean Company). Super super skinny legging-like fit with a 10-11" leg opening, 34" inseam and 32" for the shorties. They run pretty small at first but they do stretch out. Unwashed has 2% stretch and stonewash has 22% stretch. LOVES them! They made it to my top 5 faves.
Paige Premium Denim Skyline Drive Jeans in Dark Resin from Ron Herman. $SALE. One of my fave skinny jeans and the Dark Resin wash is a nice deep midnight blue, almost black color. Originally tried these on in a size 24 in Spring 06 and they were super tight at the ankles. The size 25s seem to give a little more leave way at the leg opening and fit true to size. I wasn't satisfied with them scrunching at the legs (I'm too short!) and I wanted to keep the leg opening at 11", so I hemmed them with this new special hem technique right below the knees. If I were to euro-hem at the ankles with the original hem, the leg opening would widen to 12". The "hem at the knee" experiment worked well and you can't even tell it's there when worn (I recommend this for all skinny jeans and only skinny jeans). Available at $SALE price at Adasa. Try code TOUTIE20 for 20% off.
Victoria's Secret Varsity graphic sweats in heather charcoal, Body by Victoria IPEX wireless bra in tequila blue, 3 x VS Cotton low-rise bikini in snow kissed graphic/white winter wish, BBV T-shirt bra, Thermal leggings in no peeking grey, and BBV Ultrasmooth bikini in peacock from Victoria's Secret. $STEAL. Plus Body By Victoria IPEX Wireless Bra in Marine Blue and No Show Panties in Beige, Ivory, and Chocolate (not shown). $SUPERSALE. (Review soon to come) For the most up-to-date codes, check out Fat Wallet's VS Codes.
Essie Nail Lacquer Polish in Fishnet Stockings from Avenue You. $GIFT. This is THEE perfect true 40's glam red, guaranteed 1000%. My "perfect red" hunt is over. It's not too bright, not too orangey, not too deep, at all. Pure true red with a slight blue undertone. After a referral and reading the MUA reviews, I was convinced this was the one. Thanks to a JS friend, this baby's mine. If it's not the same exact nail polish as Christina Aguilera's, then it's pretty damn close to it. HIGHLY recommended.
Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Red Red Red from Macy's. $RETAIL. (Review soon to come)
Dior MaximEyes Mascara in Maxi Black 093 & Vincent Longo Liquid Eyeliner in Black from Sephora. $RETAIL. This Vincent Longo liner is the best liquid liner I've tried. It contains a fine brush tip that allows you to apply either thin or thick smooth lines. No raccoon eyes and much more vivid than sponge tip liquid liners. It's equivalent to Dior Styleliner but I chose this over the because 1) it's thinner bottle/thicker handle that's easier to hold while applying and 2) it's less expensive. The Dior Maximeyes lives up to it's name with adding the most volume and length to your lashes. Most prefer Diorshow since it's more popular but I decided to try something else and Maximeyes makes my lashes def runway worthy.
Hello Kitty Pink Pig Animal Key Cap from eBay. $MORE. My little way of celebrating the Golden Year of the Pig! These little key met/caps are just way too adorable! Good for any Hello Kitty lover or Kawaii lover. They have Chinese Calendars, Japan Exclusive Animals, Astrologies, and more. It makes it so much easier getting into the house or anywhere. I gave my husband a Blue Bear and Penguin (Japan Exclusive). And just recently got myself the Kitty Cat (another JP Exclusive).
Gateway Flat Screen FPD1975W Widescreen HD LCD Monitor from Best Buy. $GIFT. Belkin DVI RT Right Angle Cable for Gateway Widescreen Monitor from eBay. $FREE@GIFT+COMPLAINT. Rolodex Stanford BW Sorter with Drawer and Pencil Cup from Staples. $SUPERSALE. I love this flat screen monitor! Very modernized and sleek with the rounded edges and stand. It's HD ready, enhanced color perfection, and has a recommended 1440x900 widescreen resolution. Even the desktop accessories match the roundness of the monitor and my Kensington keyboard. I'm avoiding boxy edges as I'm building a new desktop piece by piece.
City Shuffle The Shopping Deck Manhattan 2007. $GIFT. This little card deck is pretty interesting. Each card is a $10 gift certificate (or more) for 52 specialty shops in NYC ranging from boutiques to restaurants and more. They also have their little description for each new place. The Diner's Deck and Bar & Lounge Deck are also availablehere.
Purse essentials goodie bag (Tide-to-Go, Kleenex tissues, Purell hand sanitizer, Stride gum, VS lotion). $GIFT. Definitely well thought through, especially with the hand sanitizer, long lasting gum, and stain remover. I surprisingly used these all. It's a nice little idea for next Christmas.
Red Octane Guitar Hero 2 Game Bundle from Best Buy. $RETAIL. React Wireless SG Guitar in White for Guitar Hero. $GIFT. Yes, my obsession continues. GH2 contains a better song selection and playing is much more fun as you'll find your fingers all over the fret keys. Hammer ons/pull offs are easier this time around as well. The React wireless is several inches smaller so it's better for the ladies and kids rather than guys. For guys, I'd rather recommend the Red Octane wireless controller which is equivalent in size to the red (II) and black (I) guitars.
2 x Rolodex Thin 96 Capacity Business Card Books in black, BiC Duo Ballpoint Pen/Highlighter in black, Scotch Refillable Trigger-Action Tape Dispenser, plus MORE (not shown) from Staples. $SALE. Lately I've been on a Staples spree and this is only part of it. The business card books are perfectly thin and I use one book for business cards and the other for credit cards/identifications/discount cards/etc. The pen/highlighter is pretty asy to use as you just twist it and it transfroms from a pen to a highlighter in less than a second. Works well for speed writing notes in class. I love the new scotch tape gun as it has a effortless built-in cutter. This was for my daughter for safety reasons but I seem to use it a lot too.
Dendrobium Orchids Flower Arrangement. $GIFT. An unexpected surprise from my DH. Dendrobiums were our main flowers for our wedding as well. On the card it said, "It's funny, cause in the midst of a busy day, I stop, I think about you and I smile." Awe! -=D
Heather's Latest Purchases
Coffee Shop Belted Wool Coat in Cream. Thee most wanted coat and completely sold out. Beautiful cream (ivory/off white) wool material with dramatic lapels, bold large buttons, and a detachable belt that you can either tie or belt together. This peacoat looks A LOT better in person than in the stock pics we so commonly see. Thick enough for those cold winter nights, stylish enough for SoHo fashionistas to compliment, and looks like it's worth 5 times more than it is. Very Mackage and Soia & Kyo like! Available on eBay (in-stock) or Nordstrom (back order). As featured on Stylehive and About.com.
Bi La Li London Trapeze Square Neck Top in Ink from Le Train Bleu. $SALE. Bi La Li is one of those European designers that you CANNOT pass up once you see it in person. All her designs are just breathtaking!!! It's understood why The Fashion Spot went nuts over her indie pieces. Very high quality and most possibly my favorite top, it has this shift/trapeze modern shape. This is a perfect shade of navy-yet-royal ink blue (I've been in a serious navy kick this season). Code DAILYCANDY for 30% off till 1/19/07.
Guy Baxter Sophie Tee from eBay. $SALE. One of those Summer-must-haves turned hard-to-find in the Winter. I won an amazing deal on eBay as opposed to their current resell value. Nice thin jersey cotton material with horizontal medium stripes and a boatneck line that could fall at the cleavage if desired. Can be worn as a shirt, dress, or tucked in with a waist belt. I highly recommend Topstick tape to be worn with this at the shoulders. As seen on: Rachel Bilson.
Nikita Iceland Hustle Skull Tee in Red from Noise (Toronto). $RETAIL. The layered skulls on this top are pretty cute. I'm just not fond of the writing "Nikita" skater writing on the front but with the right pashmina, it covers that part most of the time. Simple L/S tee made in Iceland. It's hard to find it within the US but seldomly pops up on eBay.

Sony Cybershot DSC-N2 from Best Buy $FREE and SanDisk MemoryStick Pro Duo from eBay. $STEAL. This digi is DOPE. This bad boy stole my heart with a whopping 10.1 MP, touchscreen menus (use your finger or the stylus), animated slideshows with music, large 3" screen, pocket album, 56K internal memory (no memory stick required), and there's even paint on it. IMO, this defeats the Canon SD series by far. I know it's not as diesel as Cel's Nikon SLR -=P but it's good enough till I can afford the my dream, Canon EOS 5D. Gemma loves abusing this N2 and people are impressed at how well she works all the menus. How was it free? My old P200 was replaced with Best Buy's Performance Service Plan (Get it!!! So worth it!).
Marc Jacobs Heart Mirror in Tortoise Shell and Marc Jacobs Skull Keychain in Black Patent from Marc Jacobs (New York). $RETAIL. These MJ accessories are way cute! This special holiday edition mirror is double-sided (one true to life side, one enlarged side) and labelled "Marc Jacobs" across the front. I love these so much, ended up keeping the white heart mirror as well! Available in white, red, and green. The skull keychain is my fave keychain now and the only one I use. It looks like plastic in the pic but in reality, it's black patent (which I prefer over the metallic silver).
Ojon Hydrating Thickening Shampoo and Ojon Revitalizing Mist from Sephora. $SALE. Swear by hair products! It started out with the Shine & Protect and now I'm trying a different regimen combo. The revitalizing mist works wonders as a leave-in conditioner for wet or dry hair. My hair is super long and I manage to brush straight through without a single pull. My hair is also noticably thicker and healthier than before. MD Forte II Facial Cleanser from Skin Store. $SALEx1, $GIFTx3. My DH and I use this amazing facial cleanser 1-2 x daily. It decreases acne, removes make up really well, and doesn't dry your face out at all. I barely even use La Mer creme for my face anymore. This is our 2nd bottle (and we recv'd 2 more for Christmas!). You won't regret it. Just read theinteresting reviews. Code CLUB5 or FAV5 for 5% off + free shipping or check out Deal Taker for current discounts.
StriVectin-SD Ultra Concentrated Stretch Mark Formula from Costco. $GIFT. I honestly haven't tried this yet but according to reviews, this really does dramatically decrease stretchmarks. It'll be interesting to see which product is more effective, StriVectin or Murad, as they are comparable products though StriVectin has more promises with a higher price tag to go with it. Code 43SAVE for $43 off till 12/31 or code CLUB5 or FAV5 for 5% off. On a budget? Go withMurad from Amazon instead of Sephora.
OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Nail Polish from Hairnailsandmore/eBay. $GIFT. Thanks to one of my friends. Girls go wild over 2 certain colors, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark and Chanel Black Satin. Love the color and stores seem to not be able to keep LPAD in stock. It's not pure black but close too with a dark plum undertone. I finally gave into wearing this (after 2 years of NO nail polish). Most say OPI doesn't chip but I'm a really big hands-on person and I would have to disagree.
Clinique Almost Lipstick in Ruby Melt from eBay. $MORE. Go figure, Clinique makes such a beautiful color limited edition and hard to get. I received PLENTY of compliments of this pure red lipstick whenever I go out with it. It's moisturizing to the lips and doesn't dry the lips out either. Only problem is, you'll find yourself reapplying at least twice. Everyday Minerals Free Kit from Everyday Minerals. $FREE. 3 foundations (Fairly Light Intense, Light Intense, Golden Fair Intense), Weekend Getaway lush, and Finishing Dust. Not a bad line and it keeps the face natural. I consider them like Bare Escentuals bareminerals. Too Faced Pucker Lip Polish in Honey and Too Faced Park Avenue Princess Shadow Soiree from Too Faced. $STEAL. The eyeshadow is neutral and nice, but the Lip Polish takes a lot more blending in than I had hoped for. The stain is too too strong.
Snow White Costume and Red Silk Bow Headband from Disney Store. $SUPERSALE. She was dubbed "the PERFECT Snow White" due to her short hair with bangs and stunningly beautiful outfit. Seeing her like that on Halloween just melted my heart. I can't find this exact style online and it was the last one in store.Cleopatra Beaded Headpiece, (following not shown), faux princess necklace, Willy Wonka TV Room Goggles, Village Man Hat, and ghetto spinning gangsta necklace from Malabar (Toronto). $RETAIL. People seemed to favor this Cleopatra headpiece a lot. I wore it with my Mason dress for that sexy-yet-classy Cleo like. Turns out I wasted about $90 anyway and could have bought just the headpiece. C'est la vie.
j.mendicino Cobblestone Small Gumdrop Vase. * 5 - 2oz Bath & Body Works bottles of aromatherapy relax eucalyptus lotion, body splash (mango mandarin & pink grapefruit), magnolia blossom shower gel, and moonlight path bubble bath gel. * 1 Year Subscription for ELLE Magazine (not pictured). $GIFT. Thanks to my JS Secret Santa (An SS group that I've been organizing this month). This j.mendicino vase was the one I REALLY REALLY wanted the most AND hardest to get out of the 5 wishlist items + Wildcard Theme off my list. I expected this the least and I'm truly impressed with her. 3rd piece to my ongoing collection. The SS extras are pretty exciting themselves too and I love this entire package. As seen on design*sponge, Stylehive, and Daily Candy.
